Mechanical Design Specialist

Anthony joined Priority Energy in 2017 after completing his MBA in Environmental Management and Sustainability at the Illinois Institute of Technology.

After attending RESNET training at Priority Energy, Anthony joined the PE team as an energy analyst. He quickly applied his knowledge of building science principles and analytics to the job as he studied architectural plans, created energy models, tested HVAC systems, sized duct work, and performed HERS Ratings. Our rigorous training had him climbing into attics, crawling through basements, perched on roof tops, and balancing on three-story ladders; everyone must “walk the talk,” says Rob.

Now an integral member of Priority Energy’s modeling team, Anthony performs Manual J, D, and S calculations to ensure mechanical systems in residential and commercial buildings are properly sized, meet IECC code requirements and provide optimum performance.  Anthony applies his mechanical knowledge in the field as well. He provides Test and Balance service as a certified Commercial Air Balancer, provides IECC verifications and performs residential and commercial energy audits.

While working for a Chicago catering company, Anthony attended one of Priority Energy’s HERS Rater classes. Quickly spotted as a top student, we took him from the tasty food biz to the slightly grittier field of building analysis! Known as the millennial “handyman” to his friends, Anthony learned to hold a hammer and “fix stuff” at an early age. Raised by a strict immigrant father, he was taught the importance of family, education, hard work, and honesty. A mushroom hugger, (like a tree-hugger of fungi), can often be found in the woods, foraging and hiking, with his dog Max or playing in the yard with the kids..
