Take Comfort in an Energy Star Certified Home!
Superior comfort, healthier indoor air quality and better durability combined with lower utility costs make owning an Energy Star certified home easy to enjoy! By saving up to 30% on annual utility costs and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, you can feel good about your investment today and in the future. Priority Energy’s services for homeowners and builders can help you create a dream home that meets the strict Energy Star requirements and will provide optimum performance for years to come.
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), founders of the Energy Star program, have set rigorous standards for construction methods, ventilation, and mechanical design in order for a home to earn the distinguished Energy Star label. In addition, your contractors must be registered with Energy Star and the project must be inspected, tested, and verified at several stages throughout construction by a professional HERS rater.
Priority Energy is an Energy Star partner and your one-stop-shop for ENERGY STAR services. We will guide you through the before, during and after construction steps to meet program requirements. Our HERS Raters will get you started with an energy model, and perform third-party verification; such as insulation inspections, duct leakage tests and blower door tests. They can also help with Thermal Bypass, Mechanical System, Indoor Air Plus and Water Sense checklists, depending on your Energy Star certification goals.
An ENERGY STAR certified new home includes features like:
- A complete Thermal Enclosure System that includes comprehensive air sealing, quality-installed insulation, and high-performance windows, to deliver improved comfort and lower utility bills.
- A high-efficiency Heating, Ventilation, and Cooling System that is designed and installed for optimal performance.
- A comprehensive Water Management System to protect roofs, walls, and foundations from moisture damage.

Priority Energy is proud to provide rating services to certify new homes for the ENERGY STAR® label. The ENERGY STAR label on a home means that it has been designed and built to standards well above other homes in the market today. It means better quality, better comfort, and better durability. It also means that the home is a better value for today, and a better investment for tomorrow. The ENERGY STAR label gives homeowners the peace of mind that their home has undergone a better process for inspections, testing, and verification to ensure that it meets strict requirements set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
